Rutgers cranberry (and blueberry) research takes place at the Philip E. Marucci Center for Blueberry and Cranberry Research and Extension substation. Most strawberry research is conducted at the Clifford E. & Melda C. Snyder Research and Extension Farm a.k.a. the Rutgers Center for Sustainable Agriculture. These substations are part of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station. Some goals of this research include genetic improvement and efficient production of quality fruit.
